A RECRUITMENT event for nurses will take place in York next month, with interviews being held on the day.

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, which provides mental health and learning disability services throughout North Yorkshire and the North East, has a number of roles available for registered mental health nurses (RMN) in York and across North Yorkshire.

These roles are for qualified nurses, including those who are about to qualify.

The event and interviews will take place at York Sports Club, in Clifton Park, Shipton Road, on September 24, from 10am to 4pm.

The trust said: "Successful applicants will be an integral part of our continued success in providing high quality, compassionate services that improve the quality of the lives of our services users.

“Everyone who is interviewed will be offered full constructive feedback on their performance.

"We are committed to offering all successful applicants permanent positions with the Trust.

"For newly qualified nurses, in addition to our supportive preceptorship arrangements, successful students will be offered an individual development programme providing bespoke support in their first two years of employment with the Trust."

The Trust is recruiting staff to work in inpatient units and community teams in York and across North Yorkshire in adult, older people and children and young people’s mental health services.

Candidates can 'drop in' any time between 10am and 4pm during the event but only candidates who have submitted an application will be guaranteed an interview slot.

Candidates attending without submitting an application will be allocated a slot on the day of the event on a first come, first served basis.
