A MAN has been arrested in a Ryedale town for breaching bail.
North Yorkshire Police said officers attended an address in Yorkersgate, Malton, at 10.30pm yesterday (August 14) to arrest the man.
On arrival the man showed signs of intending to harm himself, the force added.
It said police negotiators engaged with the man enabling the incident to be brought to a safe conclusion and ensuring that nobody was injured.
The man was arrested this morning.
Yorkersgate was closed overnight while police dealt with the incident.
