FIRE crews were called to a number of properties in York and Selby which were hit by flooding due to the torrential rain yesterday afternoon (August 13).
Crews were called to a shop on Stonegate in York which had flooded.
The drainage system on the roof had become blocked so crews cleared the blockage and isolated the electrics.
In addition, crews pumped out water from several homes in the Nunthorpe Road area of York, while firefighters also pumped water away from three properties in Selby.
