FIREFIGHTERS said a fire near Selby was caused by spontaneous combustion.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Selby were called to Moor Lee Lane in Eggborough at about 6.30pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for the Fire Service said the fire involved a compost heap which they believed had been “caused by spontaneous combustion”.
Nobody was hurt.
