COURTESY of Leeds Grand Theatre, you have the chance to attend the invitation-only dress rehearsal for Gary Barlow and Tim Firth's Calendar Girls The Musical on the evening of August 15.

In attendance will be invited guests and members of the press, along with The Press winners of five pairs of tickets for this 7.30pm special event.

Premiered at the Leeds Grand in November 2015 under the title of The Girls, the now renamed Calendar Girls The Musical returns to Leeds from August 16 to September 1, preceded by the aforementioned dress rehearsal.

A star-studded cast featuring Fern Britton, Anna-Jane Casey, Sara Crowe, Ruth Madoc, Rebecca Storm, Denise Welch and Karen Dunbar will tell the story of a group of Yorkshire women who strip off and pose naked, except for carefully placed buns, teapots and other such props, for a Women’s Institute calendar.

Composer Barlow and lyricist and book writer Firth's musical comedy shows the women’s lives in a Yorkshire village; how the calendar story began; the effect on husbands, sons and daughters and how a group of ordinary women achieved something extraordinary.

Tickets are on sale on 0844 848 2700 or at leedsgrandtheatre.com.
