I WRITE regarding the letter from Mrs Robinson about Richard saying (or not
saying) ‘A horse! A horse!’ etc (Letters, July 30).
In the standing area - from where the lower classes would have watched his plays in Shakespeare’s time - I stood next to Richard as he was dragged onto the stage after his Bosworth defeat.
I can confirm he did indeed make the horse speech (softly).
A terrific night and well worth the entry fee.
