TWO North Yorkshire Police officers suffered serious injuries in a crash on the A64 near Malton.
A spokesman said the officers were in a police vehicle which was responding to an incident at about 11.25pm on Sunday, July 29, when it crashed.
The male officers were taken to hospital where they were yesterday still receiving treatment for leg and collar bone injuries, and the road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.
Anyone who saw the crash should phone police on 101, quoting reference NYP-29072018-0615.
The spokesman said a 23-year-old man had been charged with two counts of assault, possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage in connection to the incident the officers were responding to in Catterick Garrison, and will appear before magistrates on August 14.
