TWO women were injured in a crash in a North Yorkshire town.
North Yorkshire Police said the crash happened at about 3.35pm on Saturday, in Wetherby Road, Harrogate, close to the junction with Railway Road, and involved a white Mini Cooper and a small white Volkswagen.
The 61-year-old woman driver of the Mini, from Thorp Arch, suffered slight injuries and did not require hospital treatment, but the driver of the VW, an 86-year-old woman from from Bardsey, was taken to Leeds General infirmary where she was admitted with serious leg, arm and internal injuries. Her condition was described by police as "serious but stable".
The scene was clear by 6.35pm, but officers investigating investigating the crash want to hear from anyone who saw it or either vehicle prior to the incident.
