TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a motorcycle and a car at a roundabout on the York Outer Ring Road.
The junction between the A1237 ring road and the A59, near McDonalds, was closed after the accident but has since reopened.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said emergency services were called to the scene at about 12.45pm after a motorcyclist and their passenger came off a motorbike.
Police tweeted that the closure of the roundabout had caused "extremely heavy traffic" in the area and thanked motorists for their patience.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said that it received a call at 12.54pm about a collision between a motorbike and a car and sent two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle to the scene, and two patients were taken to York Hospital with minor injuries.
