MEMBERS of the Unite union are set to stage a protest at York Hospital this morning against moves by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to set up wholly owned subsidiaries which the union claimed could lead to a ‘Pandora’s Box of Carillion-type meltdowns’, with an adverse knock-on effect of job losses.
The trust said its Limited Liability Partnership for estates and facilities was wholly owned by the NHS.
