KIRK Brandon will lead Theatre Of Hate at The Crescent in York on Saturday night after the 7.30pm gig was switched from Fibbers, where a July "refurb and smarten-up" is under way.

Vocalist Brandon and fellow 1980 founder members Stan Stammers and John "Boy" Lennard will be joined by guitarist Adrian Portas, from New Model Army, and drummer Chris Bell, from Hugh Cornwell's band.

This year, Brandon is releasing Theatre Of Hate's October 2016 album, Kinshi, in the United States and across Europe. Recorded at Oxygen Studios in Manchester while touring in 2014 and 2015, it forms the band's first studio set in more than 30 years.

This year, Theatre Of Hate are playing shows in Britain, Europe and the USA. Tickets for Saturday's concert cost £16 at seetickets.com/event/theatre-of-hate/the-crescent/1240982.
