RUFFORTH’S first-ever community festival has raised £6,000 for local organisations.
The festival, on Saturday, July 14, was opened by local MP Julian Sturdy and boasted a traditional Punch and Judy, a dog show and live music.
The event was also attended by Lord Mayor Keith Orrell who sampled the entertainments on offer and was welcomed to pop-up pub, the Rufforth Arms, in the village institute.
The festival was sponsored by local individuals and businesses.
