WHAT a shame York council are thinking of pulling down the Burton Stone gym (“Support for new homes and community centre”, July 9).
It is a lovely art deco building. Burton Stone School is long gone, but the gym remains. Surely it can be put to good use for the local community? Us Burton Bombers have great memories of that lovely building.
