PARCHED lawns in York look set to get a welcome sprinkling of rain tomorrow - before the heatwave returns for the weekend and next week.
Forecasters expect light patchy rain to fall in York in the afternoon, with temperatures as low as 20C, while there may be heavier and more persistent rainfall over North Yorkshire's hills.
Saturday will see a mixture of cloud and sunshine, with temperatures back up to 23 or 24C, and Sunday and Monday seeing more of the same, with a maximum of 25C on Sunday and up to 27C on Monday, with high levels of humidity.
