A LOCAL primary is celebrating success in its latest Ofsted report.
St Mary's CE Primary in Beverley has been rated 'good', with pupil behaviour 'ranked outstanding'.
The report highlighted the leadership of acting headteacher, Laura Willis: "Since taking on this role, she has revitalised the ethos of the school and rapidly improved teaching and learning."
Mrs Wallis, who will take up the role on a permanent basis from September, said: "We are thrilled with the many positive comments included in the report and very pleased with the overall judgement.
"We are totally committed to providing the best possible education and care and it is fantastic that our efforts and achievements have been recognised."
Staff morale and the quality of teaching is also said to be high, while early years provision was among the areas singled out for praise as 'good'.
