YORK is the third most polite city in the country according to research.
Thousands of people were invited to rate how "friendly, welcoming and safe" they considered their hometowns to be.
Worcester topped the rankings for the most polite city, followed by Swansea and York.
At the other end of the list, London was rated the least polite, followed by Birmingham and Gloucester.
The survey was carried out by bathroom company showerstoyou.co.uk.
