TRIO Rosalba will play York Unitarians' Last Fridays concert in their debut performance at the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate, York, on July 27 at 12.30pm.
The trio has been formed by York musicians Robert Webb, violin, Julia Brewer, cello, and Helen Jones, piano. Webb has a busy freelance career as a string teacher, conductor and singer in York; Brewer teaches cello, performs in orchestras and is a member of The Field Quartet; Jones plays regularly as a soloist and accompanist and sings too.
They first performed together at the 2016 Filey Festival, subsequently deciding to form a trio. Next Friday's concert features "two gems from the repertoire": the slow movement of Mendelssohn’s D minor Trio and Beethoven’s complete “Archduke” Trio, Opus 97.
Tickets cost £6, concessions £4, on the door.
