AUSTRALIAN soap star, pop icon and musical actor Jason Donovan is having an another Amazing Midlife Crisis at Pocklington Arts Centre.

In response to "phenomenal demand" for tickets for his February 5 show next year, Donovan has decided to spend the night before in Pock too.

Fans queued out of the doors when tickets for February 5 went on sale and duly sold out within minutes. "We had a phenomenal response after we announced his first show at one of the smallest venues on his 100-date UK tour, so we're thrilled he's agreed to an extra date, giving you another 'good reason' to enjoy an evening here," says director Janet Farmer.

“Jason has built up quite a fan base over the decades, thanks to his hugely successful stage and screen career, so we're delighted to be bringing such an icon to our stage in 2019 for not one, but two consecutive nights. It just goes to show that any dream will do!"

This intimate evening “especially for you” will be an opportunity to see Donovan marking his 50th birthday year with a wealth of tantalising tales in an autobiographical show that will zigzag back and forth through his life, covering Neighbours, Ten Good Reasons, Kylie, Joseph, Priscilla, I’m A Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing and much else.

Donovan promises new stories, and possibly one or two that have been heard before, plus “some of the songs you know and love on a night like no other”.

Tickets cost £32 on 01759 301547 or pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk.
