FRESHER weather is on the way in York and North Yorkshire, heralded by outbreaks of rain in place later today and tonight.
The Met Office has warned of a risk of thundery rain in York this evening, before a slightly cooler night than recent warm and uncomfortably humid nights.
Tomorrow will see a dry and sunny start, before cloud develops, bringing occasional showers, and temperatures in York may rise no higher than 21C.
More sunshine and scattered showers are expected on Wednesday before drier and warmer weather return next week.
