THREE people were rescued by fire crews from the River Ouse in York in the early hours of this morning (July 16).
At around 4.20am, crews from York with the boat and crews from Acomb, along with a fire officer, were called to reports of two women and a man, all in their 20s, in the river near Ouse Bridge.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the crews rescued all three and they were left in the hands of paramedics for further checks.
@PC_621 tweeted that no-one was seriously injured and that council cameras alerted police before an emergency call was made.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police attended the scene to assist the fire and ambulance services. The emergency services were guided to the incident by CCTV operators."
