THE deputy vice chancellor of the University of York will become the acting vice-chancellor after Prof Koen Lamberts announced that he is stepping down.

Prof Saul Tendler will take over from November 1 after Prof Lamberts' departure to become vice-chancellor of the University of Sheffield. Prof Tendler said: “I am delighted and honoured to take on the position of acting vice-chancellor at such an exciting time in the university’s history. I look forward to continuing to work with our staff and students and engaging with our global alumni and partnership networks.”
