Cllr Tony Richardson was at the scene, and said the fire appeared to have been extinguished by about 5pm, and nobody appeared to have been hurt.
He said: "I would say there's probably a some substantial damage inside but it hasn't broken out through the building.
"Thankfully, everything's okay. Nobody was injured, it's just a fire by the looks of it."
