POLICE have released the names of three people who died in a crash in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police said Richard Holmes, 44 from East Riding, was driving a blue Peugeot 207 on the A1079, near the Windmill pub, Dunnington, at about 8.20pm, on Monday, July 2, when it collided with a black Nissan Qashqai.
Two rear seat passengers in the Peugeot - Heather Thornes, 68, and Susan Hankey, 71, both from Malton - also died at the scene.
The 80-year-old man driving the Qashqai and the 78-year-old woman in the passenger seat were both taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw the crash or who either of the cars before the accident.
