THE A59 at Kex Gill, which has been closed since the end of May after movement in the carriageway, is due to reopen on Sunday.
North Yorkshire County Council said work has been done to stabilise a wall below the road but traffic lights will be put in place to control traffic temporarily.
A spokesman said the council is working on fully reopening the road and minimising disruption but that repair works may require further road closures.
