THREE people have been killed in a crash on Hull Road A1079.
Police were called to the scene near the closed Windmill pub near Dunnington at about 8.20pm yesterday, Monday.
A 44-year-old man, who had been driving a blue Peugeot 207 on the eastbound carriageway, died at the scene.
The driver of a black Nissan Qashqai, an 80-year-old man, and a 78-year-old woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat were taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.
Two passengers in the back of the Qashqai, a 68-year-old woman and a 71-year-old woman, both died at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the cars before the accident to call 101 and ask for Hamish Halloway or Gemma Brett, quoting incident number 12180118919.
