A THUG who joined in a pub attack that had nothing to do with him is now serving three and a half years in jail.

Leon Philip Derek Feasey, 24, punched the victim after Callum Lee Wong, 23, and Robert Alexander McIntyre, 22, had already attacked him, said Rachael Landin, prosecuting.

All three then followed the victim to his house late on November 6 where McIntyre and Feasey again attacked him.

In a separate incident in March 2017, Feasey broke a man’s jaw by punching him outside a different pub.

Judge Andrew Stubbs QC told York Crown Court of the November incident: “This group attack was a terrible piece of drunken violence.”

In a personal statement, the victim said his injuries had left him in pain for weeks and cost him his new job.

“I continue to have disturbing dreams about the attack and fear I am becoming something of a recluse," he said.

“It has had a big impact on me and changed my life.”

Feasey, 24, of Main Street, Riccall, pleaded guilty to wounding and was jailed for 12 months consecutive to the 32 months he received in January for the March incident.

McIntyre, 22, of Church Lane, Selby, and Wong, 23, of Volta Street, Selby, both admitted causing actual bodily harm.

McIntyre was given a 26-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months on condition he does 20 days’ rehabilitative activities, a four-month nightly curfew and 100 hours’ unpaid work.

Wong was given an 18-month community order with 20 days’ rehabilitative activities and 100 hours’ unpaid work and must wear an alcohol abstinence tag for 120 days.

Defence solicitor advocate Graham Parkin said Feasey had grown up in a violent environment and McIntyre had had a difficult upbringing with undiagnosed mental difficulties. Both men were doing their best to change their violent ways.

Ms Landin said the victim was drinking with Wong and McIntyre in Selby on November 6. As they headed towards J T Mellanbys Wong pulled the victim into the New Inn. Inside, he and McIntyre punched him and were joined by Feasey, who had been in the New Inn.
