A NUMBER of schools have received a bomb hoax this morning.
Humberside Police confirmed they have had reports of schools being sent "malicious communications".
A spokesman said the threats are being treated as a hoax.
The force is working with national agencies and other police forces to investigate who sent the messages.
A spokesperson for East Riding of Yorkshire Council said a number of schools in the area received the messages and all schools are open except for one, with staff following police guidance.
A number of schools in York are also reported to have received the threatening message including Joseph Rowntree School.

North Yorkshire Police has looked at the messages and believes that there isn’t any genuine threat and that it is a hoax email. In fact the email is believed to have been sent to many schools across the UK.
