YOU can’t fault their ingenuity.
Children at Park Grove Primary School have raised a remarkable £3000 for their school by coming up with imaginative sponsored activities.
The enterprise week saw classes leading a litter pick, a penalty shoot-out and bike ride.
A class of year one and two children even managed to persuade teacher Will Gardiner to be a target for their waterbombs, with a direct hit captured by our photographer Frank Dwyer.
All the money raised will now go towards ICT equipment and software for the school.
Vicky Hearson, acting head at Park Grove, said she was delighted with how well the week had gone.
She said: “There have been lots of fun activities.
“Children and staff have been really enthusiastic and got on board raising lots of money.
“Special thanks go to the staff for being good sports.”
