A YORK restaurant will be going totally vegetarian for one night only as a leading chef hosts a special event.
Andrew Dargue, of London’s Vanilla Black, is the next visiting expert to take part in a programme of guest chef nights at Le Cochon Aveugle.
On July 1, he will come to the Walmgate restaurant to cook a collaborative vegetarian menu with owner Josh Overington.
They will be joined by Ken Holland, who supplies vegetables to the UK’s finest restaurants and will be showing off produce from his indoor and walled gardens at the Urban Anarchy Farm.
Andrew Dargue has become one of London’s most celebrated chefs since moving his Vanilla Black restaurant to the capital 10 years ago.
Now, along with Josh Overington, he will be demonstrating some of his skills and talents, as they prepare a one-off tasting menu for guests to enjoy.
Tickets for the main dining room are now sold out, but seats at a communal table for up to eight people or parties of six to eight guests in the private dining room are still available, priced at £60 per person.
To book, visit the website at www.lecochonaveugle.uk or call the restaurant directly on 01904 640 222.
