A PEAKY Blinders-inspired charity night at a York pub raised hundreds of pounds to help a pair of York children.
The Ainsty in Boroughbridge Road hosted the Peaky Blinders-themed night on Saturday, which was kicked-off in the spirit of the hit BBC series with a rider on horseback declaring the pub under new management.
The event was also visited by York actor Samuel Edward-Cook, who played Danny Whizz-Bang in the first series of the hit BBC show, and raised £900 for Emmie Fafera and Leo Lengyel-Ducey, who both have severe disabilities, and will help them and their families with life-improving equipment and a trip to Disneyland Paris.
Annoula Wilby is coordinating fundraising at The Ainsty pub, and said: "Everybody is still talking and posting pictures, it was fantastic."
