TICKETS for the County Stand, Grandstand and Paddock areas have sold out for the Summer Music Saturday raceday card and Paloma Faith concert on June 30 at York Racecourse.

However, the refurbished Clocktower Enclosure, in the middle of the course, will be open for sales once gates open for the racing and music double bill at 11.15am. The sound system is being improved, by the way, so it will reach this area. Admission is £12 for adults, £10 for over 65s and free of charge for accompanied under 18s, and the best advice from York Racecourse is to arrive early.

Although the County Stand, Grandstand and Paddock areas are fully booked, nevertheless The Press has secured three sets of tickets for prizes. First prize is a pair for the County Stand; two runners-up each receive a pair for the Grandstand and Paddock, courtesy of York Racecourse and Paloma Faith's publicists, Chuff Media.

Paloma Faith's Summer Music Saturday concert at the Knavesmire course will be followed by Sir Tom Jones's return to the green, green grass of York on July 27 and Boyzone, completing the Music Showcase Weekend, the next day.

The Irish band will release their sixth and final studio album, Love Is A Hurricane, in November, and after 25 years together Ronan Keating has announced they will embark on a farewell British and Irish tour next year, with further details to follow.
