SUN Records, The Concert revisits the Memphis, Tennessee recording studio from where where musical visionary Sam Phillips took gospel, blues, hillbilly, country, boogie and western swing to the world.

The legendary record label was home to such pioneers as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins and Rufus Thomas, whose songs are celebrated in a show supported and endorsed by the Sun Entertainment Corporation, USA.

Sunday's 7.30pm performance at the Grand Opera House, York, features such favourites as That’s Alright Mama, Great Balls Of Fire, I Walk The Line, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin On, Bear Cat, Blue Suede Shoes and Good Rockin' Tonight.

Sun Records, The Concert has been rehearsed in an exact replica of the Sun Studios, features musical instruments of the era and stars a multi-talented cast of singers and supporting musicians taking you back to the birthplace of rock’n'roll.

Tickets cost £22 upwards on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york.
