THREE people, including a young girl, were taken to hospital after being injured in a crash between two cars.
The collision happened on the B1249 near the top of Staxton Hill, close to Scarborough, at about 6.10pm on Saturday. It involved a black Vauxhall Mokka and a yellow Peugeot 107.
The occupants of the Vauxhall, a man in his 30s and a young girl from Humberside, were taken to Scarborough Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her 30s from Scarborough, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Fire crews freed the woman from the Peugeot who was trapped in the car.
They used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove a door.
