PEOPLE are being invited to have their say on proposals to better protect 150 York properties from floods.

The Environment Agency is holding its next public information drop-in for the £45million York Flood Alleviation Scheme on Wednesday.

The proposals aim to improve flood defences between Clifton Bridge and Scarborough Bridge, behind St Peter’s and St Olave’s schools.

The event on Wednesday will take place from midday to 7pm at the Environment Agency’s Community Hub on Wellington Row.

The proposals will remain on display for a further four weeks for members of the public to provide feedback.
