A PUB in Heworth is urging people to 'bake it or fake it' and lend their support to a special Cupcake Day in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society.
The occasion is being marked on Monday at The Walnut Tree, Heworth Village, York.
Angela and Paul Waddingham who run the pub are asking supporters to drop off their cakes from 11am, adding that home made and shop-bought will both be welcome.
Cakes will be sold from 12pm, with tea and coffee available all day for £1 a cup.
The event which is one of a number around the country will last for as long as there are cakes.
