AN 85-year-old woman has been burgled while sitting at home in East Yorkshire.
Humberside Police said it happened on St Mary’s Crescent in Bridlington last Friday at around 2.30pm.
A man had smashed a key safe, then came into her property through a back door, the force added.
A force spokesman said: "He demanded the woman’s handbag which contained cash, a bank card, and a bus pass before he ran out with it.
"The woman was left very shaken but wasn’t hurt."
The suspect has been described as white, between 5 feet 5 and 5 feet 9, thin, with dark hair and unshaven. He was wearing dark clothes.
Humberside Police is appealing for anyone who knows the man, saw anything at the time, or has any information to get in touch by phoning 101, quoting reference 16/61953/18.
