TWO women and a child were taken to hospital after five vehicles crashed on York's outer ring road this morning (June 7).
The collision on the A1237 happened between the Haxby and Huntington roundabouts.
Police were called to the scene at about 7.50am.
The collision is believed to have involved a white Seat Ibiza, black Peugeot 207, grey Vauxhall Vivaro, a white Seat MII and a black BMW X5, North Yorkshire Police said.
A spokeswoman for the force added: "The female driver and six-year-old female passenger of the black BMW and female driver from the Seat MII were taken to York Hospital with minor injuries."
One lane was closed but reopened at 8.40am.
