A 30-YEAR-old man has suffered serious injuries after a crash on Wheldrake Lane.
The accident, which involved a yellow motorcycle travelling towards Wheldrake from Crockey Hill and a black Mercedes travelling in the opposite direction, happened at about 10.35am.
The motorcyclist is from Leeds and was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, was not injured.
The road was closed while police investigated and made the scene safe but it has since re-opened.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 and ask for Dean Turner or Neale Rees, quoting incident number 12180097997.
