ROADWORKS begin tomorrow at the junction of Heslington Road and Cemetery Road.
Residents have been warned to expect disruption in the area during the next four weeks.
Works will take place between 7.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 3pm on weekends.
Plans include replacing traffic signals, improving the pedestrian crossing and adding a cycle lane on the Barbican Road approach.
Four-way temporary traffic lights will be put in place while work is carried out and provisional crossing points will be installed. Work is being carried out as part of a City of York £2.62m five-year renewal scheme.
