THE new stage musical version of Summer Holiday is on tour on board the famous red double-decker bus, making a stop at the Grand Opera House, York, this week.

Theatre staff and colleagues prepared for the show's arrival by taking a trip around the beautiful and sunny City of York on a City Sightseeing open-top bus. Pictured here are Lisa Cameron, left, Laura Castle, Alice Tones, Rodolfo Barradas, Alexandra Mather, Sam Gray and David Rennie.

Based on the iconic 1963 film that starred Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Summer Holiday includes all the hits from the big screen plus some additional Cliff Richard classics.

The show stars Ray Quinn, runner-up in ITV1’s The X Factor in 2006, and pianist, actor and songwriter Bobby Crush and runs in York from tonight to Saturday. Tickets for the 7.30pm evening shows and tomorrow and Saturday's 2.30pm matinees are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york.
