HEALTH bosses are urging people to pick up their prescriptions before the bank holiday weekend so they do not run out of essential medicine.
A spokesman for the NHS said people should consider contacting a pharmacist, walk-in centre or calling the 111 service if they need non-emergency medical advice. He also advised people stock up on sun cream as good weather is forecast.
Dr Paul Twomey, medical director for NHS England in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: βIt is important to order repeat prescriptions in plenty of time and stock up on medicine cabinet essentials so they can easily be accessed during the bank holiday.β
