Bogus Brothers' Birthday Bash, with guest Kristoffer Hegelund, Fibbers, York, Friday at 8pm

YORK band Bogus Brothers return to Fibbers on Friday for a special 32nd birthday bash to coincide with the release of their new album XXXII.

Since 1986, Bogus Brothers have entertained audiences the world over, whether at a celebrity wedding or a big festival in Portugal, making them one of York's biggest musical experts.

Close links to the celebrity circuit with the likes of Formula 1 luminary Eddie Jordan, U2, Bryan Adams, Sir Alex Ferguson and The Corrs keep their profile high.

Now, after their successful European tour in February, amid a hectic touring schedule they are squeezing in a home-city show to celebrate their 32nd anniversary.

In their unique spirit, the band's Fibbers show promises to be a night to remember. "It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on!" said one Bogus fan.

Front man Maka adds: "We only play a handful hometown shows throughout the year; we can’t wait to get out there and do what we do the best: party and party hard."

Fibbers boss Tim Hornsby says: "Whirling keyboards, flying bass, jumping guitars and a back-flipping singer always leaves audiences across the globe amazed. Marry that with some of the biggest hits ever to grace our ears and it’ll be a super-duper, lovely, smashing great night. Bring on the mayhem!"

Tickets are on sale at fibbers.co.uk or on the door from 7.30pm.
