GLAMOUR Of The Kill are making a triumphant return after being on hiatus for nearly three years.

The York metalcore rockers went on a break after a full-on touring cycle from 2007 to 2015 saw them on the verge of burning out, but with new album Resurrection on the horizon, the fire has well and truly been reignited, as can be heard at Fibbers in York on November 2.

Glamour’s lead guitarist, Mike Kingswood, says: "The idea of a return came slightly out of the blue to us all. I was jamming some new ideas and writing some songs with the band in the back of my mind, in case we did decide to get back together.

"Right around that time Davey [Richmond], our vocalist, texted me and we reminisced about old times, turning on to the subject of missing playing and touring together. Then the group chat started picking up again, the idea of us getting back together was brought up and we all said 'let's do it'!"

Glamour Of The Kill, who have toured with metal mammoths such as Bullet For My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold, began life in 2007 and their career has seen them travel around Europe and as far out as Japan.

Now, Resurrection is a "new lease of life" for the York band, combining all the best that they bring to the table, reckons 28-year-old Mike. "We’ve all been off doing our own things, getting married and working on our own projects," he says. "I run my own touring company, AudioWolf, but we all just missed touring the world with our best mates. With us all being as busy as we are, it's going to make this second go so much fun because it'll be like stepping out of reality for a minute. We're all very excited to start playing again."

Glamour Of The Kill will kick off their "resurrection" with a three-date British run in the autumn that takes them to Gullivers in Manchester on November 1, their highly anticipated homecoming show at Fibbers in York on November 2 and The Underworld, Camden, London, on November 3.

In the revived line-up as ever are Mike Kingswood, on guitar, Davey Richmond, on vocals and bass, Chris Gomerson, on guitar and vocals, and Ben Thomson, on drums and vocals, who will be playing York for the first time since their final show before their hiatus in 2015. They then head over to Europe for dates in France and the Netherlands.
