A VETERINARY hospital has invested in new equipment and facilities as part of a £325,000 renovation project.

A new waiting room, extra consulting rooms, a dental suits and revamped wards have been built at the Minster Veterinary Practice on Salisbury Road.

The company's biggest investment is a new £250,000 CT scanner which x-rays a pet's internal organs and soft tissues.

Other new equipment includes anaesthetic machines, a dental x-ray machine, endoscope and laboratory equipment.

Minster Vets practice manager Emma Darling said: “This project has been the biggest investment ever in the practice and we are absolutely delighted with the results. We are a forward-thinking practice that is always looking to improve and we want to keep updating and expanding our service and facilities to ensure we provide the best possible treatment for pets.

"We were running out of space and needed to expand our services. A restructuring of the practice has enabled us to do this and we have also invested in the most up to date equipment."

She said customers have been "astonished" by the changes.
