THE first of seven Saturday fixtures at York Racecourse takes place this weekend.
And the total prize money for the seven race card has reached more than £225,000. The Yorkshire Regimental Band will also be entertaining visitors. And equine charity, New Beginnings, will be bringing thoroughbred former racehorse Harry and his pony friend Meg to meet guests.
Racegoers can also keep a closer eye on the action on a new big screen on the John Carr Terrace.
