THE President of the NFU called for tariff-free easy access to the EU market after Brexit when she visited Yorkshire.
Minette Batters spoke of the importance of EU markets for sheep meat and how trade was fundamental to livestock farming.
In 2015, 95 per cent of UK sheep meat exports went to the EU and was worth £302 million.
She was in the Yorkshire Dales to open a new livestock sales complex and to meet local sheep farmers.
