JONATHAN Tattersall scored his maiden century in Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North as current champions York thrashed last season's runners up, Stamford Bridge, by a comprehensive margin of 117 runs.

The victory maintained York's 100 per cent start to the season and they reached the top of the league in the process.

Tattersall’s 101 and Duncan Snell’s 63 set up the visitors' imposing total of 250-5, with Nick James adding a late 29 not out.

Early wickets from Oliver Leedham (3-32) set Stamford Bridge back and despite the efforts of Ryan McKendry (49), the target remained well out of reach. Daniel Woods (3-27) put the seal on the win.

Both sides put their unbeaten records on the line at Moor Farm, and it was hosts Sheriff Hutton Bridge who came out on top, inflicting a first defeat of the season on early pace-setters Scarborough.
