POLICE, fire crews and York Rescue Boat were called out to search for a man in York yesterday (May 17).
North Yorkshire Police said it received a report shortly after 5pm about a man who was in a “distressed state” in the Water End area of York, close to the River Ouse.
A police spokeswoman added: “Officers attended and following searches and assistance from York Rescue Boat and the Fire service, the man was located safe and well.”
