AN OUTBUILDING in a North Yorkshire village has been destroyed by a blaze.
Fire crews from Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Thirsk, Easingwold and Boroughbridge were called to the blaze in Scawton, near Thirsk, at about 9.30pm yesterday (May 11).
The fire service said the building was 100 per cent damaged by the fire.
It added that the cause is believed to have been accidental, and likely to have been started by a faulty power tool.
