A MAN was given oxygen following a flat fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crews from Scarborough and Filey were called to the property in North Marine Road, Scarborough, at 9.10pm on Thursday.
A spokesman said the fire was caused by a chip pan being left unattended.
Firefighters led one man to safety and provided oxygen therapy to treat smoke inhalation before leaving him with paramedics.
